# How to make a specific slide active in a WordPress Carousel?

## Key Takeaways

- Nexter Blocks' Carousel Anything block allows users to set a specific slide as active by default.
- Users create slides in the Content tab and select the active slide from the Active Slide dropdown under the Carousel Layout tab.
- The Carousel Anything block is part of Nexter Blocks and requires installation and activation to function properly.

With most WordPress carousel sliders you don’t get the option to make a specific slide active by default. So if you want to make a specific slide active in a carousel slider it can be a bit challenging but not so with the Carousel Anything block from the Nexter  Blocks. With our Carousel Anything block, you can easily choose any slide as the active slide.
